The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources.

Highland Park

Theft—A catalytic converter was reported stolen at Highland Park High School, 1015 S. Snelling Ave. between 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 13.

—A catalytic converter was reported stolen on the 500 block of Montrose Lane on October 16-19.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1800 block of Benson Avenue and the 1200 block of East Maynard Drive on October 14, and the 2400 block of Stewart Avenue on October 17.

—Suspects used a pickup truck with a chain and yanked the door open to steal an unknown amount of money from an ATM at Huntington Bank, 2163 Ford Pkwy., around 5:14 a.m. Monday, October 18.

Miscellaneous—Police responded to a report of an accident where the male suspect was slumped over behind the wheel in the parking lot of the Highway Motel, 2152 W. Seventh St., around 1:52 a.m. Wednesday, October 20.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A 19-year-old male shoplifter was arrested by an off-duty officer for trying to leave with nearly $154 in unpaid merchandise at the Midway Target around 2:38 p.m. Wednesday, October 13. He also had an outstanding felony assault warrant. While at the Ramsey County jail, he became unconscious likely due to ingesting narcotics prior to contact with the off-duty officer. He was revived, treated at the hospital and then taken back to jail.

—Five catalytic converters were reported stolen from Caliber Collision, 1190 University Ave., on October 14-15.

—A catalytic converter was reported stolen on the 400 block of North Syndicate Street on October 15-18.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1200 block of Selby Avenue between 5:45-6:25 p.m. Thursday, October 14.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 2100 block of James Avenue on October 13, and the 1300 block of Grand Avenue on October 17.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen on the 1400 block of Sargent Avenue on October 14,  the 1200 block of Juliet Avenue on October 17, the 1500 block of Osceola Avenue on October 18, and Grand and Cretin avenues on October 20.

Assault—A man reported being assaulted by three unknown assailants near Snelling and Wellesley avenues around 11:25 p.m. Saturday, October 16.

Miscellaneous—Felony criminal damage to property was reported on the 2000 block of Lincoln Avenue at 4:06 p.m. Tuesday, October 19.

Mendota Heights

Burglary—A senior living complex was broken into and maintenance items were moved around in the underground garage on the 900 block of Highway 13 around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, October 20.

Weapons—A road rage incident where a gun was shown was reported on the 1300 block of Mendota Heights Road around 3:31 p.m. Wednesday, October 13.

Theft—Items were reported stolen from a vehicle on Mendota Heights Road and Delaware Avenue at 5:59 p.m. Thursday, October 14.

—Company equipment was reported stolen on the 1400 block of Northland Drive at 3 a.m. Thursday, October 14.

—Items were reported stolen from a vehicle at the off-leash dog park on Pilot Knob Road and Acacia Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 15.

—A suitcase was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2100 block of Highway 13 at 9 a.m. Sunday, October 17.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 2100 block of Highway 13 on October 16, and the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue on October 19.

Assault—A juvenile was arrested for assault on the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue around 1:18 p.m. Friday, October 15.

Merriam Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on Mississippi River Boulevard north of Summit Avenue on October 13, the 1800 block of Iglehart Avenue on October 17, and the 2000 block of Carroll Avenue on October 18.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen on the 300 block of North Wilder Street on October 14, and the 1800 block of Selby Avenue on October 16.

Miscellaneous—Two occupants were found slumped over in a vehicle parked as a gas pump at the Holiday Station, 281 N. Snelling Ave., around 8:29 p.m. Tuesday, October 19. They were treated by medics for a drug overdose and taken to the hospital. The male driver also was reportedly carrying a gun in his waistband.

Snelling-Hamline

Burglary—Buffalo Wild Wings, 80 N. Snelling Ave., was broken into and a cash register was reported stolen between 2-10 a.m. Saturday, October 16.

—An occupied residence was burglarized on the 1500 block of Carroll Avenue around 4:56 p.m. Monday, October 18.

Assault—A male suspect reportedly sprayed an employee with a chemical irritant at Park Liquors, 140 N. Snelling Ave., around 12:15 p.m. Friday, October 15.

—A woman reportedly became enraged, struck another woman in the head with coffee and pulled her hair, during an altercation at the Starbucks on Snelling and Marshall avenues around 11:17 a.m. Sunday, October 17. The suspect left once the two were separated.

Theft—Catalytic converters were  reported stolen on the 1400 block of Portland Avenue on October 13-14, and the 200 block of North Hamline Avenue on October 21.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 300 block of North Hamline Avenue on October 19.

Weapons—A 26-year-old man was arrested for possession of a firearm by an ineligible, fleeing police and DWI on University and Snelling avenues around 3:47 a.m. Friday, October 22. He was found passed out behind the wheel with a gun on his lap and tried to drive away when he awoke.

Summit Hill

Theft—A postal van was damaged and mail was reported stolen on the 300 block of Grand Avenue around 9:10-9:20 a.m. Wednesday, October 13.

—A computer was reported stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot on the 1200 block of Grand Avenue between 4:50-6:30 p.m. Friday, October 15.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue during the evening of October 16-17, and the 1000 block of Linwood Avenue on October 18.

—A catalytic converter was reported stolen on the 900 block of Grand Avenue on September 16.

Assault—A felony assault was reported at Billy’s on Grand, 857 Grand Ave., around 1:02 a.m. Sunday, October 17. The caller said an individual pulled a pistol on him and threatened to kill him.

Miscellaneous—A 24-year-old woman was arrested for DUI and drug possession after she reportedly crashed into property on Crocus Place and Fairmount Avenue around 11:41 p.m. Wednesday, October 20. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Summit-University

Burglary—A home was burglarized on the 600 block of Portland Avenue between 9:11-10:41 a.m. Sunday, October 17.

Assault—A boy was taken to the hospital after he was found bleeding from the mouth and lying on the sidewalk west of the football field near the Jimmy Lee Recreation Center, 270 N. Lexington Pkwy., around 3:11 p.m. Friday, October 15.

—Police received a report of several people arguing, including one with a knife, on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue around 12:45 p.m. Friday, October 15, Officers learned that the man with the knife had been assaulted and had presented it for self-defense against three attackers. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects were gone upon police arrival.

—A 42-year-old woman was arrested for second-degree assault after reportedly striking another woman in the head with a blunt object that had a nail sticking from it around 8:37 p.m. Sunday, October 16, on the 800 block of Selby Avenue.

—A 27-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault after he was seen pushing a woman out of a vehicle, into the side of his car and unto the ground on Laurel and Western avenues around 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, October 19. The woman ran from the scene and was not found.

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on Summit Avenue and Victoria Street on October 13, the 400 block of Dayton Avenue on October 14, the 400 block of Laurel Avenue on October 15-16, the 600 block of Carroll Avenue on October 16, and  the 100 block of North Western Avenue and the 1000 block of Portland Avenue on October 19.

Weapons—A man reported that a small projectile, possibly a BB, was shot through his kitchen window while he was sitting at the table on the 800 block of Hague Avenue around 7:51 a.m. Friday, October 15, He believes it came from the house next door.

—Police responded to a report of shots fired and recovered multiple spent shell casings in the area of Farrington Street and Selby Avenue around 12:59 a.m. Saturday, October 16.

—An occupied vehicle was shot at on the 300 block of Marshall Avenue around 12:08 a.m. Tuesday, October 19. No injuries were reported.

Arson—A vehicle fire was reported on the 700 block of Holly Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Monday, October 18.

Miscellaneous—A suspect drove their vehicle through the front lawn and broke out windows of a residence on the 800 block of Concordia Avenue around 9:31 p.m. Thursday, October 21.

West End

Burglary—A residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of Palace Avenue between 4:57-8:43 p.m. Wednesday, October 13.

Theft—Two vehicles were reported stolen on the 800 block of West Seventh Street between 1:48-1:52 a.m. Wednesday, October 13.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 900 block of Armstrong Avenue around 8:19 p.m. Thursday, October 14. The owner said she let her daughter temporarily borrow the vehicle on September 10, but the daughter reportedly has refused to return it and continues to hide it where he mom cannot find it.

—A vehicle was reported stolen near Keenan’s Pub, 620 W. Seventh St., between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 14. The victim believes his keys were stolen from his jacket by a patron at the bar.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 200 block of Goodrich Avenue on October 18, and the 200 block of Erie Street on October 20.

Weapons—Police responded to a complaint of a reckless use of a firearm on Kellogg Boulevard and I-35E at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, October 13.

—A 48-year-old man was arrested for felony possession of a gun and ammunition by a felon, and a 38-year-old man was arrested for drug possession after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle with no license plates parked on the 1000 block of Otto Avenue around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, October 17. Since the start of 2021, there reportedly have been 22 calls for police service at the address. Officers also have recovered multiple stolen vehicles from in front or near the residence.

—Police received a firearms report on the 200 block of Goodhue Street around 11:07 a.m. Monday, October 18.

—Gunfire was reported on the 300 block of Arbor Street around 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, October 20.

Sex crime—A 47-year-old man was arrested after police received a call that he was going through the neighborhood looking through windows around 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, on Richmond Street and Saint Clair Avenue. He was wanted on a felony warrant for failure to register as a predatory sex offender.

Miscellaneous—A 50-year-old man was suspected of damaging two door locks, an apartment door and an elevator panel at the Montreal Hi-Rise, 1085 Montreal Ave., around 10:07 a.m. Wednesday, October 13.
