The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between November 23-24.

Highland Park

Burglary—An attempted break-in of an occupied residence was reported at Montcalm Estate, 535 S. Lexington Pkwy., around 12:43 a.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1500 block of Ford Parkway around 4:33 p.m. Monday, November 22.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen at Concordia University, 269 N. Syndicate St., between 12:14-1:38 p.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on James Avenue and Howell Street between 9:06-10:06 a.m. Monday, November 22.

Merriam Park

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of North Fairview Avenue at 8:05 a.m. Monday, November 22.

—A vehicle was reported stolen at the Quality Inn, 1964 University Ave., around 5 p.m. Monday, November 22.

Sex crime—Level III sex offender Matthew John Overson, 36, registered to live on the 1600 block of Dayton Avenue effective November 22. He was recently released after being charged with sexual conduct against children under age 16. A community notification meeting may be held by police at a future date. Snelling-Hamline

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen near LA Fitness, 1370 University Ave., between November 16-17.

Miscellaneous—A 42-year-old man was arrested for DWI after he reportedly tried to flee a traffic stop near Selby and Hamline avenues, but crashed two blocks later around 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Summit Hill

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 900 block of Goodrich Avenue between 11:25 a.m.-noon Monday, November 22.

Assault—An assault was reported at Billy’s on Grand, 857 Grand Ave., between 11:38 a.m.-1:12 p.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Summit-University

Burglary—Break-ins were discovered at La Grolla, The Yarnery and Idun at 452-495 Selby Ave. between 1:28-5:51 a.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Theft—Suspicious people were seen rummaging through a vehicle in an alley on the 500 block of Laurel Avenue around 5:34 p.m. Monday, November 22.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1000 block of Iglehart Avenue between 1:57-3:18 p.m. Monday, November 22.

—A 35-year-old man was arrested for felony theft at Kinderstube German Immersion Preschool, 301 Summit Ave., between 2:05-3:11 p.m. Monday, November 22.

West End

Theft—A 22-year-old woman was cited for trying to enter multiple vehicles near Irvine Park Towers, 291 W. Seventh St., around 11:52 p.m. Monday, November 22.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 300 block of West Seventh around 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 23.

Weapons—Multiple callers reported gunfire on the 700 block of Armstrong Avenue around 8:18 p.m. Tuesday, November 23. No injuries or property damage was reported.
