The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between January 6-7.

Highland Park

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1200 block of Davern Street on Wednesday, January 5.

—A handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle at an apartment building on the 600 block of South Snelling Avenue during the evening of January 5-6.

— A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1300 block of West Maynard Drive on Thursday, January 6.

—A vehicle that was left running with the keys inside was reported stolen at the 5 Star Cafe, 2469 W. Seventh St., around 10:25 a.m. Friday, January 7.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1100 block of Dayton Avenue on Thursday, January 6.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1700 block of Juliet Avenue on January 5, and the 1800 block of Randolph Avenue on January 6.

Mendota Heights

Burglary—Break-ins at two construction sites were reported on the 1800 block of Orchard Heights Lane at 10:16 a.m. Monday, January 3.

Miscellaneous—A male was cited for illegal dumping on the 1600 block of Lilydale Road around 5:18 p.m. Monday, January 3.

—Police met with a victim who said an errant puck from the ice rink shattered his back windshield on the 700 block of Navajo Lane around 5:08 p.m. Tuesday, January 4. The two parties exchanged information and decided to handle the situation civilly.

—Police saw a vehicle coming out from behind a closed business and arrested the male driver for multiple outstanding warrants around 3:18 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, on the 800 block of Highway 13.

Merriam Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 400 block of Pierce Street and the 1600 block of Dayton Avenue on January 6, and the 1700 block of Carroll Avenue on January 7.

Assault—Police responded to the Midway Hardee’s parking lot to speak with the victim of a felony domestic assault that reportedly occurred around 4:31 p.m. Thursday, January 6, on the 2000 block of Laurel Avenue.

—An assault with a dangerous weapon involving two employees was reported at Cooperative Plating, 271 N. Snelling Ave., around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, January 6. The victim suffered head injuries and was cleared by medics.

Snelling-Hamline

Robbery—A strong-arm carjacking was reported on Snelling and University avenues around 2:05 p.m. Thursday, January 6. The vehicle was later found crashed into trees on the 800 block of University.

Summit Hill

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1000 block of Grand Avenue between 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 5.

Summit-University

Burglary—The front door was broken and miscellaneous items reported stolen in the hallways of an apartment complex on the 200 block of Selby Avenue around 9:33 a.m. Wednesday, January 5.

—A break-in of an apartment storage locker was reported on the 100 block of Mackubin Street around 10:35 a.m. Thursday, January 6.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 800 block of Marshall Avenue around 6:58 p.m. Wednesday, January 5. The owner was able to track it and found it abandoned in an alley near Dayton’s Bluff.

West End

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 200 block of Oneida Street on Thursday, January 6.
