The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between February 17-18.

Highland Park

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen at Saint Patrick’s Guild, 1554 Randolph Ave., around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, February 16.

—A running vehicle was reported stolen in the parking lot of the South Highland Apartments, 1280 Davern St., around 12:42 p.m. Thursday, February 17.

Lexington-Hamline

Burglary—A break-in was reported at the YWCA Apartments, 95 N. Lexington Pkwy., on February 3-16.

Theft—A 22-year-old man was arrested for felony theft and burglary from the Midway Target around 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 16.

—A running vehicle was reported stolen at the Speedway gas station, 399 N. Lexington Pkwy., around 7:09 a.m. Thursday, February 17.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—A 36-year-old man was arrested for breaking into an apartment building at 1329 Grand Ave. and stealing packages in excess of $1,000 between 12:11 p.m. Wednesday, February 16.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2100 block of Juliet Avenue on Wednesday, February 16.

Mendota Heights

Theft—Thefts from vehicles were reported on the 2500 block of Pilot Knob Road on February 11,

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from three vehicles on the 700 block of South Plaza Way on February 11-14, and from another vehicle on the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue on February 17.

—A theft by swindle was reported on the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue around 10:52 a.m. Friday, February 11. Police said an elderly couple were tricked into thinking that their grandson had been incarcerated and needed cash to be released. They sent $8,500 vide FedEx overnight to the thief.

—A suspect made off with a bag of lottery tickets from the counter of a business on the 1800 block of Highway 62 around 9:41 a.m. Monday, February 14.

—A package was reported stolen from a porch on the 900 block of Crown Court around 7:50 a.m. Thursday, February 17.

Assault—A juvenile was arrested after assaulted an officer who was investigating an underage drinking offense on the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue around noon Friday, February 11.

Merriam Park

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1800 block of Roblyn Avenue on Thursday, February 17.

Snelling-Hamline

Burglary—Two dirt bikes were reported stolen from an underground parking garage at the Vintage on Selby, 1555 Selby Ave., around 10:41 a.m. Thursday, February 17.

Summit Hill

Burglary—Perrier Liquor, 666 Grand Ave., was broken into around 2:39 a.m. Thursday, February 17.

Summit-University

Theft—A rifle was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 600 block of Dayton Avenue around 11:57 a.m. Thursday, February 17.

Assault—A woman said the father of her child and his girlfriend assaulted her by striking her and throwing logs at her when she returned to her home on the 600 block of Carroll Avenue around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, February 16. Minor injuries were reported.

Arson—Police responded to a multifamily building at 370 Marshall Ave. at 8:21 p.m. Monday, February 14, to investigate a possible arson fire.

West End

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 700 block of James Avenue on February 14-15.

—A 48-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for burglary after he was seen trying to hot-wire a vehicle on the 1100 block of West Seventh Street around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 17.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 900 block of Randolph Avenue on Thursday, February 17.
