The Wizard of Oz will be presented by middle school students at Visitation and Saint Thomas Academy at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, February 25-26, and 2 p.m. Sunday, February 27, in Visitation’s DeSales Auditorium, 2455 Visitation Drive, Mendota Heights. Tickets are at the door.

The 2022 Minnesota Teacher of the Year will be chosen from a field of 77 candidates. Local candidates include Stacy Bauer of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul-Minneapolis, Janice Bisch and Emily Manson of the Saint Paul Public Schools, and Anne Bolsem, of the West Saint Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools. Semifinalists will be chosen over the next few weeks and narrowed down to a group of finalists in March. The Minnesota Teacher of the Year banquet is tentatively scheduled for May 1 at Saint Paul RiverCentre.

The Minnesota Department of Education is seeking sponsors for its 2022 Summer Food Service Program. The program provides nutritious meals during the summer break for children ages 1-18.
