The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between February 25-28.
Highland Park
Burglary—Haskell’s Liquor, 2221 Ford Pkwy., was broken into around 1:28 a.m. Saturday, February 26.
Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1300 block of Saint Paul Avenue on February 24-25.
Lexington-Hamline
Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen at Skyline Village, 1247 Saint Anthony Ave., on Friday, February 25.
Macalester-Groveland
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1900 block of Grand Avenue on February 26, and the 1800 block of Jefferson Avenue on February 27.
Weapons—A male reportedly shot himself in the leg on the 200 block of South Fairview Avenue around 2:14 p.m. Sunday, February 27. He was brought to the hospital by medics and the gun was turned over to an adult family member.
Merriam Park
Burglary—A home was reportedly broken into and ransacked on the 1800 block of Portland Avenue on February 27-28.
Theft—A running vehicle was reported stolen from an alley on the 1800 block of Marshall Avenue on Saturday, February 26.
Miscellaneous—Police responded to an accident with injuries on Marshall and Cretin avenues and arrested a 31-year-old man for felony criminal vehicular homicide around 2:18 a.m. Saturday, February 26.
Snelling-Hamline
Robbery—A male victim was robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint at the Midway Cub Foods around 3:55 a.m. Sunday, February 27.
Assault—A male was assaulted and stabbed on University and Snelling avenues between 3:50-5:01 p.m. Sunday, February 27. He was being treated at Regions Hospital.
Summit Hill
Burglary—A break-in at the Princeton Hall Apartments, 888 Grand Ave., was reported on February 25-26.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Lincoln Avenue and Saint Albans Street on February 24-25, on Saint Albans and Grand Avenue on February 25-27, and the 700 block of Goodrich Avenue on February 26-27.
—A vehicle was reported stolen on South Saint Albans Street and Grand Avenue between 10:32-11:16 a.m. Sunday, February 27.
Summit-University
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue on February 24-25.
—A gun, wallet and other items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 500 block of Summit Avenue between 1:30-3 p.m. Friday, February 25.
Assault—A woman was the victim of an aggravated assault with a gun on Dale Street and Laurel Avenue around 12:41 a.m. Saturday, February 26.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 900 block of Concordia Avenue around 2:11 a.m. Monday, February 28.
West End
Robbery—A strong-arm robbery was reported at Speedway, 1125 W. Seventh St., around 10:55 a.m. Friday, February 25.
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 400 block of Superior Street and the 200 block of Wilkin Street on Sunday, February 27.
—A 37-year-old man who was threatening staff at Freedom House, 296 W. Seventh St., was arrested for felony theft around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, February 27.
Assault—Officers responded to United Hospital for a female patient who walked in with possible stab wounds around 4:59 a.m. Sunday, February 27. The assault was reported to have occurred somewhere in downtown. The injuries reportedly were not life-threatening.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 900 block of Randolph Avenue between 8:33-11:30 a.m. Sunday, February 27. Felony damage to property was also reported at Irvine Park Towers, 291 W. Seventh St., between 12:23-3:57 p.m. that day.
