The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between March 12-14.
Burglary—A burglary was reported at the Mount Curve Apartments, 760 Mount Curve Blvd, between 3:30-6:14 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2300 block of Youngman Avenue on March 11-12.
Assault—A 24-year-old man was arrested for assault with a knife in the Sibley Plaza parking lot, 2401 W. Seventh St., around 7:23 p.m. Friday, March 11. The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Miscellaneous—A 42-year-old man was arrested for felony DWI after he reportedly crashed through fencing and into pallets of construction materials at Cretin Avenue and Ford Parkway around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13. He reportedly had a prior conviction for felony aggravated DWI out of Illinois from 2013.
Assault—A woman said she was assaulted in the parking lot at Aldi, 1134 University Ave., around 6:10 p.m. Thursday, March 10.
Teen shot—A 19-year-old man was reportedly shot in the leg following a report of multiple shots fired at Plums Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 480 S. Snelling Ave., around 12:30 a.m. Friday, March 11. The man was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Theft—The catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Albert Street and Osceola Avenue on March 10-11, and the 1600 block of Berkeley Avenue on March 12.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 200 block of South Fairview Avenue on March 11, and the 100 block of South Cleveland Avenue on March 13.
Theft— The catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue on March 10-11, and the 1800 block of Iglehart Avenue on March 13.
—Police discovered a stolen vehicle occupied by two people in the parking lot of the Quality Inn, 1964 University Ave., around 3:15 a.m. Monday, March 14. When they tried to stop the vehicle, it sped from the parking lot at a high rate of speed.
Weapons—Shell casings were recovered after gunfire was reported on Saint Anthony Avenue and Herschel Street around 11:01 p.m. Thursday, March 10.
Assault—A woman reported being assaulted at the Midway Cub Foods around 11:52 p.m. Saturday, March 12.
Theft—The catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 900 block of Linwood Avenue on March 12, and the 1000 block of Summit Avenue on March 12-13.
Assault—A woman reported being assaulted at Billy’s on Grand, 857 Grand Ave., around 5:18 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Laurel Avenue and Avon Street on March 5-6.
—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 300 block of Marshall Avenue on March 13.
Weapons—Officers collected 20 spent shell casings after gunfire was reported on Iglehart Avenue and Milton Street around 1:07 a.m. Saturday, March 12.
Miscellaneous—A 34-year-old man was arrested for DWI after he reportedly was driving without his headlights on and struck a marked police car on Dale Street and Carroll Avenue around 12:53 a.m. Saturday, March 12. The squad had its emergency lights on and was blocking the street due to a serious car crash just to the north. Both officers in the squad were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The suspect, who registered a blood alcohol level of 0.25, was checked at the scene and declined medical transport, saying he was OK.
—A 24-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant for criminal sexual conduct around 11:18 a.m. Sunday, March 13, at an apartment on the 400 block of Marshall Avenue. The arrest came after the man called police to complain that his roommate and girlfriend were being belligerent toward him and he wanted them removed.
Burglary—A break-in was reported at Warner’s Outdoor Solutions, 590 Randolph Ave., around 10:21 p.m. Thursday, March 10.
Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 200 block of Wilkin Street on March 11.
—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of Scheffer Avenue on March 13.
Assault—A 26-year-old man was arrested for felony threats of violence after he flashed a gun at security and then took off running from McGovern’s Pub, 225 W. Seventh St., around 7:41 p.m. Saturday, March 12.
—Suspects in a vehicle reportedly pointed a gun at a man on Smith and Grand avenues around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13.
Weapons—Multiple people reported hearing gunshots fired near Irvine Park Towers, 291 W. Seventh St., around 10:10 p.m. Friday, March 11.
—Five spent shell casings were found after gunfire was reported on Sherman and Exchange streets around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, March 12.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Walnut Street during the evening of March 12-13.
