The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between April 23-27.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1800 block of Ford Parkway on April 22-23, the 1900 block of Pinehurst Avenue on April 23-24, the 1600 block of Scheffer Avenue on April 25, the 2000 block of Ford and the 500 block of Warwick Street on April 26, and the 800 block of South Cleveland Avenue on April 26.
—Vehicles were reported stolen at Planet Fitness in Sibley Plaza on April 22, and the 1700 block of Ford Parkway on April 23.
—A theft of more than $500 in items was reported at Walgreens, 2099 Ford Pkwy., around 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
—A gun was reportedly stolen out of a vehicle that was parked at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 S. Snelling Ave., around 2:32 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 2000 block of Bayard Avenue on April 18-22, and the 500 block of South Cleveland Avenue on April 25.
—Police arrested three people around 10:17 a.m. Monday, April 25, at the Highway Motel, 2152 W. Seventh St. One man was arrested for felony possession of a stolen gun, felony drug possession and several outstanding warrants. A woman was arrested for felony gun possession and operating a stolen vehicle. Another man was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
Robbery—A carjacking was reported on the 1100 block of Dayton Avenue around 2:22 p.m. Monday, April 25. The victim said a male suspect pushed her and drove away with her vehicle.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1300 block of Dayton Avenue on April 22, and the 100 block of North Lexington Parkway on April 23.
—A 37-year-old woman was caught pushing a full cart of items out of the Midway Target without paying around 12:48 p.m. Sunday, April 24. She also had two outstanding warrants for her arrest.
—A 30-year-old woman was arrested for trying to steal more than $1,000 in merchandise from the Midway Target around 8:40 p.m. Monday, April 25.
Assault—A man was found shot inside a vehicle after police located two cars driving recklessly and one shooting at the other near Lexington Parkway and I-94 around 8:10 p.m. Sunday, April 24. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1700 block of Sargent Avenue and the 1400 block of Juliet Avenue on April 21-22, the 1800 block of Palace Avenue on April 21-22, the 1700 block of Berkeley Avenue on April 21-25, the 2000 block of James Avenue and the 1800 block of Saint Clair Avenue on April 22, the 1500 block of Grand Avenue on April 22, the 1800 block of Stanford Avenue and the 1600 block of Palace on April 22-23, the 300 block of South Snelling Avenue on April 23-24, the 1200 block of Osceola Avenue on April 24, and the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue on April 25-26.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1600 and 1800 blocks of Grand Avenue on April 22, and the 2100 block of Palace Avenue on April 24.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1100 block of Juliet Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Friday, April 22.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on University Avenue and Pierce Street on April 22, the 2100 block of Carroll Avenue on April 22-23, and the 1600 block of Laurel Avenue on April 23.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1600 block of Portland Avenue on April 23, the 1700 block of Selby Avenue and the 1600 block of Dayton Avenue on April 23-24, the 1900 block of Iglehart Avenue on April 23-24, the 2000 block of Iglehart and the 2200 block of Marshall Avenue on April 24, the 2100 block of Iglehart and on Prior and Ashland avenues on April 24, and the 1600 block of Selby on April 26.
Assault—A woman said she was assaulted in the street by two female suspects around 8:35 p.m. Sunday, April 24, on Prior and Ashland avenues.
Burglary—A storage unit was burglarized at an apartment building on the 1500 block of Portland Avenue between April 20-21.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue on April 22-23.
Miscellaneous—A 29-year-old man was arrested for DWI and fleeing police after he reportedly crashed his vehicle on Marshall and Snelling avenues, got out and tried to walk away at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 26.
Robbery—An attempted robbery at gunpoint was reported at UnBank, 1098 University Ave., around 8:27 p.m. Sunday, April 27.
Burglary—The burglary of an occupied residence was reported on the 600 block of Holly Avenue on Sunday, April 24.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Laurel Avenue and Farrington Street on April 21-22.
—A trailer was reported stolen on the 500 block of Selby Avenue on April 22.
—A theft valued at more than $1,000 was reported at Claddagh Coffee, 612 Selby Ave., between 7-11 a.m. Friday, April 22.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1000 block of Marshall Avenue on April 23, the 300 block of Marshall on April 26,
—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue around 9:11 a.m. Monday, April 25.
Weapons—Gunfire was reported on the 200 block of North Saint Albans Street around 8:50 p.m. Friday, April 22.
Assault—An aggravated assault with a gun was reported on Western and Marshall avenues around 6:39 p.m. Friday, April 22.
—A male was taken to the hospital after reportedly being assaulted at Saint Paul College, 235 Marshall Ave., around 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, April 26.
Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen at Saint Paul Tap, 825 Jefferson Ave., on April 22-23.
—A shoplifter ran off with more than $1,000 in items from Run N Fun, 868 Randolph Ave., around 4:38 p.m. Monday, April 25.
Assault—A 31-year-old woman was arrested for assault near Mickey’s Diner, 1950 W. Seventh St., around 12:43 a.m. Saturday, April 23.
—A juvenile male reportedly assaulted a staff member at Journeys Secondary School, 90 S. Western Ave., around 9:36 a.m. Tuesday, April 26.
Miscellaneous—Police received a call to the Montreal Hi-Rise, 1085 Montreal Ave., around 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, regarding a trespasser taking advantage of a vulnerable adult. Apparently, a 20-year-old man had been staying with his elderly grandmother around three months and was asked by her on multiple occasions to leave, but refused to do so. He also reportedly refused to return her EBT food card and cellphone. Management decided to have her locks changed and to return the clothes the grandson was keeping in the apartment.
—Police were called to Freedom House, 296 W. Seventh St., regarding a violation of a domestic abuse restraining order around 12:36 p.m. Sunday, April 24. The suspect arrived at the shelter and asked staff to get the victim. The two spoke inside and outside the shelter, and afterward the victim called police to report the violation.
