The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between May 3-4.
Weapons—Gunfire was reported between two vehicles on the 1300 block of Selby Avenue around 5:58 a.m. Tuesday, May 3. Officers found a fired round in a parked vehicle there. Vehicles involved in the shooting were described as a blue-colored sedan and a silver-colored SUV.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Berkeley Avenue on Friday, April 29.
—A vehicle was reported stolen at Plums, 480 S. Snelling Ave., around 5:44 p.m. Monday, May 2.
Burglary—A break-in was reported at Crescenterra Health Center, 245 N. Prior Ave., during the weekend of April 30-May 1.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue on April 29-May 3.
—A vehicle was reported stolen on Myrtle Avenue and Pelham Boulevard on Tuesday, May 3.
Theft—A running vehicle was reported stolen on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue during the evening of Tuesday, May 3. A driver said he was delivering food to an address when a male suspect got into his vehicle and fled.
—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Dunlap Street and Grand Avenue on Tuesday, May 3.
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 500 block of Summit Avenue on April 28-May 2, the 900 block of Laurel Avenue on May 2, and the 700 block of Marshall Avenue on May 3.
Assault—A male was found suffering from non-life-threatening injuries after police responded to a report of gunfire on Selby Avenue and Fisk Street around 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, April 27. Several spent shell casings were found at the intersection.
Miscellaneous—A 39-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage to property after he reportedly damaged a rear entryway and door of an apartment building on the 500 block of Summit Avenue during the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 3.
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Chestnut and Exchange streets on Monday, May 2.
Miscellaneous—A 45-year-old man was arrested for felony drug possession on West Seventh and Toronto streets around 3:19 p.m. Monday, May 2. Police were called on a report that he had thrown a rock through the window of a vehicle and was rummaging around inside of it. Officers reportedly found him in the driver’s seat with suspected methamphetamine and a bubble pipe in his pocket.
—Felony damage to property was reported when the patio glass door was found shattered at an apartment building on the 100 block of Forbes Avenue around 11:05 p.m. Monday, May 2.
—The cover of a truck bed was cut open on the 1100 block of Elway Street, it was reported on Tuesday, May 3.
