The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between May 19-23.
Highland Park
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 600 block of Mount Curve Boulevard and the 1600 block of Watson Avenue on May 18-19.
—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1200 block of Watson Avenue on May 20.
Miscellaneous—Police were called to Cretin-Derham Hall, 550 S. Albert St., regarding a 37-year-old man knocking on the doors asking for a priest around 10:19 a.m. Friday, May 20. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.
—Felony damage to property was reported on the 500 block of South Saratoga Street on May 20.
Lexington-Hamline
Theft—Keys were reportedly taken from a locker and used to steal a vehicle at LA Fitness, 1370 University Ave., between 3-4 p.m. Thursday, May 19. The suspect on security video was described as a white female, 5-foot-6, medium build, with black hair, a black tank top and black pants.
—A stolen vehicle was left in a private driveway after the driver crashed into a stone retaining wall on the 1100 block of Selby Avenue around 4:29 p.m. Friday, May 20.
—A motorcycle was reported stolen on Dunlap Street and Hague Avenue around 6:06 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
Macalester-Groveland
Theft—A moped was reported stolen from a garage on the 2200 block of Goodrich Avenue on May 13.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on Grand and Hamline avenues on May 19, on Cleveland and Lincoln avenues on May 20, and the 1600 block of Grand on May 21.
—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1400 block of Goodrich Avenue on May 18, and the 2000 block of Fairmount Avenue on May 18-22.
Weapons—A woman said a suspect pointed a yellow and green gun at her and then drove away on Wheeler Street and Goodrich Avenue around 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.
Miscellaneous—Police arrested a 50-year-old man on warrants for drug possession, DUI and assault after responding to a call from a woman that her boyfriend had dumped beer on her around 7:46 p.m. Friday, May 20, in an apartment on the 1700 block of Randolph Avenue.
Mendota Heights
Burglary—A Trek mountain bike was reported stolen from a secured underground parking garage on the 700 block of South Plaza Way around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 17.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 2400 block of Enterprise Drive on May 13, the 1900 block of Crown Point Drive on May 16, and the 2400 block of Pilot Knob Road on May 19.
Assault—A man was arrested for reportedly strangling a woman and threatening her with a knife on Somerset Road around 12:21 a.m. Sunday, May 15.
—A man said he saw someone going through his vehicle and confronted the suspect around 2:02 p.m. Monday, May 16, on the 900 block of Chippewa Avenue. The suspect then got into another vehicle and the driver tried to run the reporting party over.
Miscellaneous—A man was arrested for DWI after he was found slumped over in a vehicle with an alcoholic beverage next to him around 8:25 p.m. Sunday, May 15, on the 700 block of Linden Street.
—Two people were found slumped over in a vehicle on the 900 block of Highway 13 around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 17. The driver was taken to the hospital and expected to be charged with DWI.
Merriam Park
Robbery—A man sustained minor injuries from being pistol-whipped and robbed on the 500 block of North Prior Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, May 21.
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 500 block of North Cleveland Avenue on May 18, and the 1900 block of Selby Avenue and the 1800 block of Saint Anthony Avenue on May 20.
—A tow trailer was reported stolen on Iglehart Avenue and Howell Street during the evening of May 19-20.
Weapons—Gunfire was reported on Aldine Street and Marshall Avenue around 1:13 a.m. Thursday, May 19.
Miscellaneous—A 42-year-old man was arrested for DWI on University Avenue and Wheeler Street around 7:11 p.m. Thursday, May 19, after police received a driving complaint of multiple occupants drinking in a vehicle.
Snelling-Hamline
Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1500 block of Portland Avenue on May 18.
—Vehicles were reported stolen on Hamline and University avenues on May 17, and on the 100 block of North Saratoga Street on May 18.
Weapons—Police assisted State Patrol with a gun-pointing incident on Hamline Avenue and I-94 around 10:55 a.m. Saturday, May 21. One suspect was arrested and a firearm with no serial number and two magazines (one extended) were recovered.
—A man reportedly pulled a gun on another man on the 1400 block of University Avenue around 2:19 p.m. Sunday, May 22.
Summit Hill
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 100 block of South Grotto Street on May 20, and the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue on May 22.
Miscellaneous—The front glass was damaged at Fjallraven, 797 Grand Ave., during the evening of May 17-18.
—Officers reported that security personnel locked the door on them when they responded to a disorderly conduct call and observed loud individuals being removed at Billy’s on Grand, 857 Grand Ave., around 12:41 a.m. Saturday, May 21.
Summit-University
Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue on May 18, the 200 block of Selby Avenue on May 20-21, and the 700 block of Concordia Avenue on May 21.
Weapons—A man said a suspect pointed a gun at him on Grotto Street and Selby Avenue around 3:44 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on Ashland Avenue and Arundel Street on May 21.
West End
Robbery—A robbery at gunpoint was reported at the Keg & Case Market, 928 W. Seventh St., around 5:09 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
Burglary—A woman said she was in the kitchen of her residence on the 900 block of Bayard Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, when she watched a male suspect enter through the unlocked front storm door and steal her house and car keys. She chased the suspect around the block and back to her yard, where he jumped into her car and drove off.
Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the the 1000 block of West Seventh Street on May 14, the 800 block of Juno Avenue on May 17-18, and the 700 block of Otto Avenue on May 19.
Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 800 block of Tuscarora Avenue during the evening of May 21-22.
