The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between May 26-31.

Highland Park

Burglary—A man was arrested for trying to break into Saint Patrick’s Guild, 1554 Randolph Ave., around 6:49 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

—A burglary was reported on the 1600 block of Niles Avenue during the evening of May 28-29.

—The Highland Collision Center, 2042 W. Seventh St., was broken into between 1:39-2:36 a.m. Sunday, May 29.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2300 block of Stewart Avenue on May 21-25.

—Two thefts were reported at CorePower Yoga, 680 S. Cleveland Ave., during the evening of May 25. A vehicle also was reported stolen there that evening.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1600 block of Randolph Avenue on May 26, the 2200 block of Stewart Avenue on May 27, and the 1600 block of Bayard Avenue on May 29-30.

—A male suspect reportedly stole several bottles of alcohol from Haskell’s, 2221 Ford Pkwy., between 12:28-1:34 p.m. Sunday, May 29.

Lexington-Hamline

Robbery—A 38-year-old man said he was assaulted by two male suspects who stole his ballcap and coat around 11:54 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, near Speedway, 399 N. Lexington Pkwy.

Burglary—A residential burglary was reported on the 1200 block of Laurel Avenue on May 27-28.

—An occupied residence was burglarized on the 1200 block of Summit Avenue between 2:30-4:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1200 block of Ashland Avenue on May 16-23, the 1200 block of Dayton Avenue on May 28-29, and the 1300 block of Selby Avenue on May 29.

—A vehicle was reported stolen at Skyline Tower, 1247 Saint Anthony Ave., on May 25.

Macalester-Groveland

Burglary—A male suspect reportedly entered the back room of a residence and stole a road bike valued at more than $1,000 on the 1200 block of Sargent Avenue on May 25.

—Bicycles and several power tools were reported stolen from a garage on the 300 block of Warwick Street during the evening of May 29-30.

—A residential break-in was reported on the 2100 block of Wellesley Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday, May 30.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue on May 25, the 1800 block of Jefferson Avenue on May 27-28, and on Hamline and Grand avenues on May 28.

—An attempted carjacking was reported on the 400 block of South Mississippi River Boulevard around 9:24 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1200 block of Stanford Avenue on May 26-27, and the 1300 block of Sargent Avenue on May 27.

Assault—An assault with an air soft gun was reported on the 1900 block of Randolph Avenue around 6:47 p.m. Saturday, May 28.

Miscellaneous—A 21-year-old man was arrested for drug possession and outstanding warrants after police responded to a disorderly conduct call at Macalester College around 6:34 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

Mendota Heights

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 900 block of Mendota Heights Road and the 2400 block of Visitation Drive on May 20, and the 2000 block of Timmy Street on May 21.

Miscellaneous—A driver was arrested he was found parked in the landscaped area of Friendly Hills Middle School around 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 23. He admitted to being on drugs.

Merriam Park

Pedestrian fatality—Tony Smith-El, 46, of Minneapolis was struck by a vehicle and killed while walking on the Lake Street-Marshall Avenue Bridge around 2:21 a.m. Saturday, May 28.

Burglary—An apartment burglary was reported on the 1600 block of Selby Avenue around 11:53 p.m. Monday, May 30.

Theft—The wheels were reported stolen from a vehicle near the Pitch Apartments, 427 N. Snelling Ave., on May 25.

—The particulate filter was reportedly sawed off a 26-foot diesel truck on the 400 block of North Fairview Avenue between 10:27 a.m.-1:37 p.m. Thursday, May 26. The replacement cost was estimated at $8,000.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 200 block of North Snelling Avenue on May 28, the 1800 block of Portland Avenue on May 28-29, and the 100 block of Pierce Street on May 29.

—Vehicles were reported stolen at the Town & Country Club on May 29, and the 1700 block of Saint Anthony Avenue and the 1900 block of Iglehart Avenue on May 30.

Miscellaneous—A 20-year-old man was found playing loud music inside a stolen vehicle in an alley on the 2200 block of Marshall Avenue around 1:11 a.m. Saturday, May 28. He was arrested for felony receiving stolen property, possession of a gun by an ineligible, and a felony warrant for drug possession.

Snelling-Hamline

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1500 block of Hague Avenue on May 26.

Assault—Police were dispatched to the newly opened COVID-19 testing site at the former Herberger’s at 1400 University Avenue in response to a disorderly female around 10:55 a.m. Friday, May 27. The suspect was gone by the time of their arrival.

Summit Hill

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of Linwood Avenue on Monday, May 30.

Summit-University

Robbery—A man was robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect on the 700 block of Selby Avenue around 2:04 a.m. Friday, May 27. The victim said he tried to chase the suspect, but was unable to catch him.

Burglary—An apartment burglary was reported on the 200 block of Summit Avenue around 10:33 a.m. Monday, May 30.

Theft—Seven vehicles were reported stolen in Summit-University on May 24-25, including on the 600 block of Selby Avenue, the 500 block of Summit Avenue, the 700 block of Laurel Avenue, the 300 block of Marshall Avenue, the 400 block of Ashland Avenue, at La Grolla Restaurant at 452 Selby, and the 400 block of Dayton Avenue.

—Vehicles also were reported stolen on the 900 block of Ashland Avenue on May 27-28, the 900 block of Iglehart Avenue on May 29.

—A trailer was reported stolen on the 500 block of Laurel Avenue around 11:52 a.m. Monday, May 30.

Miscellaneous—Police responded to a weapons complaint and arrested a 35-year-old man for several outstanding felony warrants around 11:19 a.m. Thursday, May 26, on the 700 block of Selby Avenue.

West End

Burglary—An apartment break-in was reported on the 800 block of Randolph Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 27.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Marzitelli and Spring streets on Sunday, May 29.

—A wallet was reported stolen at Mississippi Market, 1500 W. Seventh St., around 8:08 pm. Sunday, May 29.

Weapons—Gunfire was reported on the 300 block of Daly Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday, May 27.

—Police responded to a report of a fight and a firearm discharged in the street around 3:43 p.m. Monday, May 30, on the 200 block of Wilkins Street. A 52-year-old man was arrested for possession of a gun without a permit.

Miscellaneous—A 47-year-old man was arrested for damage to property and felony domestic assault after reportedly slashing a tire and assaulting a woman on the 600 block of West Seventh Street around 9:17 p.m. Monday, May 30.
