Highland Park

Trench collapse tragedy—Shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, June 17, Saint Paul Fire Department crews were called to a trench collapse with two male victims at a construction site on the 700 block of Mount Curve Boulevard. The Minneapolis Fire Department and Saint Paul Public Works personnel assisted in the recovery efforts. Crews worked through the night in the recovery of Jeff Jeanetta, 66, and Bob Brandtjen, 63. Theft—Thefts from two vehicles were reported at Crosby Farm Park on Thursday, June 16.

—Cash and credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2000 block of Hartford Avenue on Thursday, June 16. The cards were later used at a Target.

—Vehicles were reported stolen at 7th Street Storage at 2060 W. Seventh St. on June 18, the 1600 block of Watson Avenue on June 19-20, and the 2400 block of West Seventh on June 20.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of South Prior Avenue on Sunday, June 19.

Assault—A male said he was punched by two suspects on the 2200 block of Ford Parkway at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

Miscellaneous—An assault with a gun was reported on the 1000 block of Otto Avenue at 4:07 p.m. Friday, June 17. Police discovered a stolen vehicle with altered license plates at the same address around an hour later and arrested a 35-year-old woman for receiving stolen property and drug possession.

—Officers had to dispatch a deer that was struck by a car on Homer and West Seventh streets around 9:13 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

—A male pedestrian was taken to the hospital for evaluation after being struck by a vehicle on Highland Parkway and Snelling Avenue around 11 p.m. Monday, June 20.

—Felony damage to property was reported Starbucks, 2078 Ford Pkwy., around 12:30 a.m. Monday, June 20.

Lexington-Hamline

Robbery—A robbery was reported on Lexington Parkway and I-94 at 1:36 a.m. Sunday, June 19.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 200 block of North Syndicate Street on June 12, and the 1200 block of Selby Avenue on June 12-16.

—Vehicles were reported stolen at Skylne Tower at 1247 Saint Anthony Ave. on June 16-17 and 20.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1500 block of Sargent Avenue on June 15-16, the 2100 block of Jefferson Avenue on June 17, and the 400 block of South Pascal Street and 1200 block of Goodrich Avenue on June 19-20.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2100 block of Princeton Avenue on Saturday, June 18.

—A boat and trailer were reported stolen on the 1200 block of South Osceola Avenue on Sunday, June 19.

—A boy was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle on the 300 block of South Hamline Avenue around 7:18 p.m. Monday, June 20.

Sex crime—A male reportedly exposed himself to a female who was walking her dog near Jefferson and Woodlawn avenues around 4:52 p.m. Friday, June 17. The suspect was gone upon police arrival.

Weapons—Officers were dispatched to an apartment for a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm at 8:43 p.m. Sunday, June 19, on the 1200 block of Saint Clair Avenue.

Mendota Heights

Theft—A victim on the 1000 block of Riverside Lane reported being scammed out of $9,500 cash on June 10 after being contacted by an individual claiming to be a grandson stating he had been arrested in Saint Paul. The victim was later contacted by an individual claiming to be a bail bondsman. An individual then came to their house to pick up the payment.

—An enclosed trailer and car were reported stolen on the 2000 block of Enterprise Drive on Saturday, June 11.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Northland Drive on Saturday, June 11.

—Items were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Douglas Road on Tuesday, June 14.

—A work truck was reported stolen on the 1000 block of Highway 13 on Wednesday, June 15. The vehicle was tracked via GPS to an address in Saint Paul and recovered, but several work tools, a credit card and other property was stolen.

Assault—An officer was flagged down by a woman who said she had been assaulted and robbed in Saint Paul and walked to the 2000 block of Dodd Road during the early morning of June 14. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Merriam Park

Robbery—A suspect was robbed of his cellphone at knifepoint and gunpoint by two male suspects on University Avenue and Aldine Street around 8:38 p.m. Sunday, June 19.

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 300 block of Pierce Street on June 14-15, the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue on June 12-17, and the 1600 block of Hague Avenue on June 19-20.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1800 block of Ashland Avenue on June 10, the 1700 block of University Avenue on June 13, and on Fairview and Ashland avenues on June 19.

Summit Hill

Burglary—A residential burglary was reported on the 1100 block of Grand Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Friday, June 17.

—An apartment burglary was reported on the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

—A home was broken into and a vehicle was reported stolen on the 200 block of South Lexington Parkway around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 600 block of Summit Avenue on Sunday, June 19.

Weapons—A total of nine shell casings from two different caliber weapons were found after police responded to reports of gunfire on Grand Avenue and Avon Street around 11:57 p.m. Saturday, June 18.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 400 block of Grand Avenue on June 17, and on Summit Avenue and Saint Albans Street on June 19.

Summit-University

Burglary—A purse was reported stolen from an occupied home on the 800 block of Holly Avenue around 3:26 p.m. Saturday, June 11. Police said the suspect used a stolen debit card at a nearby Walgreens.

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on Ashland Avenue and Arundel Street on June 15, on Western and Dayton avenues on June 16, and on Western and Marshall avenues on June 17.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 100 block of Summit Avenue on June 16, and on Kent Street near Ashland Avenue and the 200 block of Kent Street on June 19.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 600 block of Ashland Avenue on Saturday, June 18.

West End

Robbery—A strong-arm robbery was reported on the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue during the evening of June 19-20.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 300 block of Randolph Avenue on June 9-10, the 300 block of Bay Street on June 19, and the 300 block of Randolph on June 19.

Sex crime—A 39-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure and giving false information to police after several people reported seeing him flash his bare bottom in public on West Seventh Street around 1:52 p.m. Thursday, June 16.

Weapons—A house window was struck by possible gunshots on the 900 block of Tuscarora Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Monday, June 20.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 300 block of North Smith Avenue on Tuesday, June 14.

—Police assisted two males who had been locked in the Science Museum parking ramp around 12:46 a.m. Friday, June 17.
