The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between July 6-7.

Highland Park

Robbery—A man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in an apartment parking lot on the 1300 block of Saint Paul Avenue around 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 6.

Burglary—Hertz Rental Car, 1420 Davern St., was broken into and two cars were stolen, along with keys and other items, around 1 a.m. Friday, July 1. One car was recovered across the street and the other was towed back from Minneapolis with bullet holes in it. The suspect was a black male with a thin build, about 5-foot-11, wearing a light hooded sweatshirt.

—A home was burglarized on the 1800 block of Pinehurst Avenue between July 2-5.

   

—Highland Café & Bakery, 2012 Ford Pkwy., was burglarized around 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. A suspect reportedly stole rolls of quarters from the cash register and left with an item under his arm. He was described as a white male, about 6-feet tall, wearing a white tank top with blue jeans.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on Inner Drive near Saint Paul Avenue on July 1-5.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1500 block of Saunders Avenue and the 500 block of South Saratoga Street on Tuesday, July 5.

Assault—An elderly man was taken to the hospital with after reportedly being assaulted by another man at Graham Place Senior Living, 1745 Graham Ave., around 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, July 5.

Miscellaneous—The body of a deceased male was recovered by Saint Paul firefighters in the water near the hydroelectric power plant south of the Ford Bridge around 1:28 p.m. Tuesday, July 5.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1900 block of Juliet Avenue on July 3-4.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1900 block of Juliet Avenue on July 3-5, the 1500 block of Berkeley Avenue on July 5, and the 1400 block of Stanford Avenue on July 6.

Mendota Heights

Theft—Two vehicles were gone through in a driveway on the 600 block of Hidden Creek Trail sometime after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30. Thefts from vehicles also were reported on the 1200 block of Lilydale Road on July 5, on Windy Ridge Place on July 6, and the 900 block of Diego Lane and 800 block of Park Place Drive on July 7.

­—A chainsaw was reported stolen from a driveway on the 1300 block of Wachtler Avenue at 9:10 a.m. Friday, July 1.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1400 block of Commerce Drive and the 500 block of Hiawatha Avenue on July 5,

Miscellaneous—Three toddlers were reportedly in the vehicle when a driver was arrested for DWI around 10:45 p.m. Monday, July 4, on Mendota Heights Road and Lexington Avenue. The vehicle and children were released to their mother.

Merriam Park

Burglary—A burglary was reported on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue during the evening of July 4-5.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 200 block of North Wheeler Street on July 1-2, and the 1700 block of Hague Avenue on July 2-5.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on Moore Street and Ashland Avenue on Tuesday, July 5.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage was reported at Birthright of Saint Paul, 299 N. Snelling Ave., between 6:51-8:32 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. The damage reportedly included broken windows and graffiti.

Summit Hill

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of Saint Clair Avenue on Tuesday, July 5.

Miscellaneous—Police responded to a report of a security guard fighting with a person and arrested a 24-year-old man on a felony theft warrant around 8:35 pm. Wednesday, July 6, on the 700 block of Grand Avenue

Summit-University

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 200 block of Dayton Avenue on July 4-5.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Victoria Street and Selby Avenue on July 6, and the 200 block of North Western Avenue on July 6.

Weapons—A shell casing was found on the porch of a property on the 800 block of Iglehart Avenue around 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, July 5.

—Gunfire was reported and a spent 9mm shell casing was found on the Kent Street and Selby Avenue around 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, July 5.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported at Obama Elementary School, 707 Holly Ave., between 10-11 p.m. Monday, July 4.

West End

Theft—A parked vehicle was reported stolen at Speedway, 1445 W. Seventh St., between 6:51-8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 29.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Douglas Street and Forbes Avenue on July 5, the 600 block of Stewart Avenue on July 5, the 700 block of Mercer Street on July 6, and the 200 block of Grand Avenue on July 6.

—License plates stolen from a vehicle and they as well as additional stolen plates were discovered in a truck, after police responded to a report of suspicious males tampering with vehicles on the 600 block of Canton Street around 12:17 a.m. Thursday, July 7. No arrests were made, but the truck was towed.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 200 block of West Seventh Street around 10:22 p.m. Monday, July 4.

—A 40-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after police responded to a report of a man pointing fireworks and fighting with a man in his 50s around 8:19 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, on the 400 block of West Seventh Street.

—Felony damage was reported to a Department of Corrections vehicle in the ambulance bay at United Hospital around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 6.
