The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between July 19-20.

Highland Park

Burglary—Residential burglaries were reported on the 2000 block of Field Avenue on July 14-16, the 400 block of South Cretin Avenue on July 17-18,

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1300 block of East Maynard Drive and the 800 block of South Cleveland Avenue on July 16-17.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 2300 block of Stewart Avenue on July 16-19.

   

—Several items were reported stolen from two lockers in the men’s changing room at Planet Fitness, 2401 W. Seventh St., between 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.

Miscellaneous—A 36-year-old man tried to flee police after they found him sleeping in a vehicle on the 2000 block of Juno Avenue around 8:76 p.m. Tuesday, July 19. He was booked on seven warrants, DWI and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A 34-year-old man tried to steal nearly $266 in items from the Midway Target around 11:23 a.m. Monday, July 18. He was cited for theft and banned from the store for a year.

—A juvenile suspect reportedly stole a cellphone from an office at the Wilder Center, 451 N. Lexington Pkwy., between 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.

Macalester-Groveland

Robbery—A robbery at knifepoint was reported on Summit Avenue and Pascal Street around 2:21 p.m. Monday, July 18. A woman said she was sitting in her car when a suspect opened the door, took control of her arm stating he had a knife, stole her purse and then fled the scene. Multiple squads searched for the suspect with negative results.

Theft­—A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle on Mississippi River Boulevard and Summit Avenue between 10:24-11 a.m. Monday, July 11.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1400 block of Osceola Avenue on July 19.

Merriam Park

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Summit Avenue on July 19.

Arson—A 37-year-old woman was arrested for arson after she reportedly lit a bulletin board on fire in the common’s area of a multiunit building on the 1900 block of University Avenue around 12:21 a.m. Wednesday, July 20.

Snelling-Hamline

Theft—Personal identification documents were reported stolen at LA Fitness, 1370 University Ave., between 4:36-6:35 p.m. Monday, July 18. A vehicle also was reported stolen there between 7:36-8:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.

Summit Hill

Burglary—An apartment garage burglary was reported on the 900 block of Goodrich Avenue around 6:03 a.m. Monday, July 18.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 900 block of Goodrich Avenue on July 18-19.

Summit-University

Burglary—The window was broken and items were reported stolen from Primp Boutique, 618 Selby Ave., between 1:58-3:11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19. Police said the suspects also damaged the entrance doors to 610 and 614 Selby.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 800 block of Hague Avenue on July 18.

West End

Assault—A 27-year-old woman was arrested for assault, giving false information to police and two outstanding warrants after she reportedly assaulted security staff when they tried to discharge her from United Hospital around 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 19.

Miscellaneous—Officers responded to a dispute between a landlord and tenant that turned into a physical fight on the 400 block of Goodhue Street around 8:41 a.m. Sunday, July 17.
