The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between August 4-5.

Highland Park

Theft—A vehicle was broken into on the 2100 block of Pinehurst Avenue between 4:40-5:22 a.m. Thursday, August 4.

—Multiple vehicles were reported broken into near Crosby and Shepard roads around 5:47 p.m. Thursday, August 4.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 2100 block of Ford Parkway on August 4.

   

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1200 block of Marshall Avenue and at Skyline Tower at 1247 Saint Anthony Ave. on August 3.

—A vehicle with a 6-year-old child in the back seat was reported stolen from Speedway, 399 N. Lexington Pkwy., around 9:28 p.m. Thursday, August 4. The child was found safe by officers and the vehicle was later recovered as well.

Macalester-Groveland

Robbery—A woman was robbed at gunpoint while walking to her vehicle on Howell Street and Grand Avenue around 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, August 3. A male suspect reportedly demanded everything she had, which she gave him. He fled the scene before police arrived.

Burglary—Four bicycles were reported stolen from a garage on the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue during the evening of August 3-4.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on Woodlawn and Princeton avenues on August 4.

Arson—Suspects were caught on video lighting a recycling bin on fire at the BP Station, 1191 Randolph Ave., around 7:53 a.m. Thursday, August 4. They were driving in a newer, white SUV.

Merriam Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 2300 block of Marshall Avenue on August 2-3, and the 1700 block of University Avenue on August 3.

Summit Hill

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 900 block of Grand Avenue on August 2, on South Lexington Parkway and Grand on August 4, and on the 800 block of Linwood Avenue on August 4.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 800 block of Summit Avenue on August 3.

Miscellaneous—A suspect who was asked to leave reportedly threatened employees when being escorted out of Billy’s on Grand, 857 Grand Ave., around 11:37 p.m. Thursday, August 4.

Summit-University

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 800 block of Saint Anthony Avenue on August 4.

West End

Burglary—A 32-year-old man was arrested for breaking into a residence on the 100 block of Leech Street around 11:16 a.m. Wednesday, August 3.

—Speedway, 1125 W. Seventh St., was broken into around 4 a.m. Wednesday, August 3.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 300 block of North Smith Avenue on August 3.

—A pickpocketing was reported near Patrick McGovern’s Pub, 225 W. Seventh St., around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, August 3.
