The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between August 16-22.

Highland Park

Burglary—Cash was reported stolen from the register during a break-in of the Original Mattress Factory, 2098 Ford Pkwy., around 8:42 p.m. Tuesday, August 16.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Inner Drive on August 14-15, the 1300 block of Hidden Falls Drive on August 20, the 2500 block of Shepard Road on August 19, and on Shepard Road and Crosby Lake on August 20.

—A $5,000 bicycle was reported stolen on the 2200 block of Ford Parkway between 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday, August 15.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 2300 block of Edgcumbe Road on August 16, and the 500 block of South Mississippi River Boulevard on August 20.

—Police tracked a stolen vehicle to the 1400 block of Alaska Avenue around 11:06 p.m. Wednesday, August 17. Though the suspects fled, police were able to track them down with the help of a State Patrol helicopter and a K9 unit. Both the 39-year-old male driver and his 25-year-old female passenger were arrested for felony receiving stolen property and fleeing police.

—A theft from auto valued at more than $1,000 was reported at Crosby Farm Park between 7-10 p.m. Friday, August 19.

Weapons—Gunfire was reported on the 2000 block of Villard Avenue around 10:46 p.m. Saturday, August 20.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A 16-year-old boy was arrested for trying to steal a vehicle on the 400 block of North Lexington Parkway on August 17.

Assault—A 26-year-old man was arrested for felony assault by strangulation after police received a report of two people fighting in the street on Lexington Parkway and University Avenue around 6:54 p.m. Thursday, August 18.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported at Gordon Parks High School, 1212 University Ave., around 2:23 p.m. Thursday, August 18.

Macalester-Groveland

Robbery—A woman was the victim of a strong-arm robbery on the 1900 block of Juliet Avenue around 2:33 p.m. Thursday, August 18.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1900 block of Summit Avenue on August 15, and the 2000 block of Lincoln Avenue on August 20.

—A theft from auto valued at more than $1,000 was reported on the 400 block of Mount Curve Boulevard around 1:48 p.m. Wednesday, August 17.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 2000 block of James Avenue on August 17.

Miscellaneous—A 40-year-old man was arrested for felony DWI after reportedly crashing into property at Pascal Street and Grand Avenue around 4:37 p.m. Thursday, August 18.

Merriam Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue on August 14-15, the 2100 block of Carroll Avenue on August 18, on Carroll and Wheeler Street on August 18-21, and the 1900 block of University Avenue on August 19.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 2000 block of Dayton Avenue and the 1600 block of Laurel Avenue on August 15, and the 400 block of North Roy Street on August 17.

—A gun was reported stolen from a vehicle on Cretin Avenue and Riverwood Place around 12:16 a.m. Wednesday, August 17.

—An iPhone 11 and more than $1,500 in cash was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue round 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17.

—A 14-year-old girl was arrested for auto theft and fleeing police around 1:02 a.m. Saturday, August 20, on the 1700 block of University Avenue. The vehicle fled when officers attempted a traffic stop and was later found abandoned with two people running from it.

Assault—A 30-year-old woman was arrested for assault, possession of a gun without a permit and criminal vehicular operation following a hit-and-run accident around 3:56 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, on Marshall Avenue and Pascal Street.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1800 block of University Avenue on August 17, and at Central Baptist Church at 420 N. Roy St. on August 18.

Summit Hill

Theft—A bicycle valued at more than $1,000 was reported stolen on the 500 block of Saint Clair Avenue around 8:40 a.m. Thursday, August 18.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 600 block of Grand Avenue on August 19-20.

—Around $4,000 in Apple electronics were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Osceola Avenue around 6:45 a.m. Sunday, August 21.

Miscellaneous—A man was arrested for trespassing and obstructing the legal process at Speedway, 925 Grand Ave., around 7:23 p.m. Thursday, August 18.

Summit-University

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1000 block of Summit Avenue on August 16.

Assault—A 32-year-old man was arrested for felony assault, possession of a firearm and ammo by an ineligible, fleeing police, receiving stolen property and outstanding warrants around 7:42 p.m. Friday, August 19, on Iglehart Avenue and Avon Street. Officers tried to stop his vehicle, when he struck their squad and another car, sped off, crashed into a tree and tried to run away. A loaded gun with extended magazine and large quantity of marijuana were found in the vehicle, which had been stolen from Minneapolis.

Miscellaneous—A 41-year-old man was cited after police responded to a call that he was trespassing and harassing customers at Mississippi Market Co-op, 622 Selby Ave., around 8:14 p.m. Monday, August 15.

West End

Burglary—The iWash Laundromat, 2575 W. Seventh St., was broken into around 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on James and Randolph avenues on August 13, the 300 block of South Osceola Avenue on August 14, the 300 block of Randolph on August 17, from two vehicles on the 300 block of Chestnut Street on August 18, and the 200 block of Grand Avenue on August 21.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 100 block of West Seventh Street on August 15, the 300 block of View Street on August 16, the 900 block of West Seventh on August 17-18, and the 800 block of Watson Avenue on August 18-19.

—A portable generator was reported stolen from a construction site on Victoria Street and Randolph Avenue around 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, August 17.

—Police received a theft call from an apartment on the 900 block of West Seventh Street around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 18. A woman said her son was stealing items from her to pawn off in order to buy drugs.

—A drone was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of Randolph Avenue during the evening of August 19-20.

Assault—A man was reportedly knocked unconscious during an assault on the 1100 block of West Seventh Street around 2:31 p.m. Saturday, August 20. He was transported to the hospital. Four males were seen fleeing the area prior to police arrival.

Miscellaneous—A female was struck by a vehicle on Chestnut and West Seventh streets around 1:07 p.m. Thursday, August 11.

—Felony damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Oneida Street on  August 17, and on West Seventh Street and Smith Avenue on August 20.

—Officers reportedly broke up a potential fight between two girls at the Palace Community Center, 781 Palace Ave., around 5 p.m. Thursday, August 18.
