The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between September 3-6.

Highland Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1200 block of West Maynard Drive on September 1-2, and the 1200 block of Edgcumbe Road on September 2.

—The catalytic converter was left hanging from a vehicle in an apparent theft attempted on the 1700 block of Bayard Avenue on September 4. A car jack was left behind at the scene.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 2100 block of Ford Parkway on September 1.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen at Skyline Tower, 1247 Saint Anthony Ave., on September 3. Felony damage to property also was reported there that afternoon.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Summit and Cretin avenues on August 30.

Merriam Park

Robbery—A strong-arm robbery was reported on Spruce Tree and Snelling avenues around 9 p.m. Thursday, September 1. The suspect implied he had a gun, but none was seen.

Theft—A 35-year-old man was arrested for stealing a vehicle and for possession of a firearm by a felon on Fry Street and University Avenue around 8-9 a.m. Friday, September 2.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue on August 30-31, the 400 block of West Lynnhurst Avenue on September 1.

Snelling-Hamline

Miscellaneous—A 32-year-old man was arrested for DWI after he reportedly drove off the road and over a street sign and light before stopping about a half block away around 4:36 p.m. Saturday, September 3, on Ashland and Snelling avenues.

Summit Hill

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 700 block of Grand Avenue on August 31, and on South Grotto Street and Summit Avenue on August 31.

Summit-University

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Milton Street and Portland Avenue on August 23, and the 700 block of Holly Avenue on September 2.

—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 700 block of Holly Avenue on August 30.

West End

Burglary—The Day by Day Café, 477 W. Seventh St., was burglarized around 1:48 p.m. Saturday, September 3.

Assault—A 28-year-old man was arrested for kidnapping and domestic assault of a woman on the 200 block of Kellogg Boulevard around 12:44 p.m. Saturday, September 3.

Weapons—A female reported that her boyfriend recklessly shot a gun into the air near the church building at 550 W. Seventh St. around 9:19 p.m. Friday, September 2.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 200 block of Spring Street on August 31-September 2.
