The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between October 6-11.

Highland Park

Theft—A theft from auto was reported at Hidden Falls Park around noon Monday, October 3.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 700 block of South Mississippi River Boulevard on October 4-5, the 600 block of South Cleveland Avenue and the 1500 block of Scheffer Avenue on October 5, and the 500 block of South Cretin Avenue on October 8-9.

—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 2400 block of Stewart Avenue on October 6, and the 1900 block of Highland Parkway on October 7.

—A trailer was reported stolen at 740 S. Mississippi River Blvd. on October 7-10.

Miscellaneous—Criminal damage to property was reported at Erik’s Bikes and Boards, 2191 Ford Pkwy., around 4 a.m. Sunday, October 9.

Lexington-Hamline

Robbery—Four males reportedly tried to rob a 17-year-old boy of his shoes at Central High School around 3:04 p.m. Monday, October 10. The victim was able to flee on foot.

Theft—A bicycle valued at more than $1,000 was reported stolen on the 1100 block of Hague Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday, October 3.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on Syndicate Street and Marshall Avenue on Friday, October 7.

Assault—An assault was reported at Aldi, 1134 University Ave., around 7 p.m. Friday, October 7.

Weapons—A juvenile with active warrants for weapons possession was arrested at Central High School around 9:07 a.m. Thursday, October 6.

Miscellaneous—A 29-year-old man was cited for trespassing after being found inside the old Saint Paul Casket Company building at 1222 University Ave. around 7:14 a.m. Sunday, October 9.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1300 block of Fairmount Avenue on October 2-8, the 2200 block of Goodrich Avenue on October 6-7, on Randolph and Fairview avenues on October 8-9, and the 1300 block of Grand Avenue on October 9.

—A bicycle valued at more than $1,000 was reported stolen on the 1600 block of Grand Avenue around midnight Wednesday, October 5.

Assault—A man was shot twice in the leg during an aggravated assault on the 1800 block of Summit Avenue around 2:47 a.m. Monday, October 10.

Mendota Heights

Burglary—A television was reported stolen from a building on the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue around 4:12 a.m. Saturday, October 1.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1300 block of Northland Drive on October 1.

Miscellaneous—An officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding on I-35E and Highway 13 around 3:19 a.m. Saturday, October 1, and saw the male driver and female passenger switch seats after the vehicle came to a stop. The man was driving after cancelation of his license and was taken to jail.

—A man was arrested for an outstanding theft warrant after he set off a burglary alarm at a construction site on the 700 block of South Plaza Drive around 4:56 a.m. Thursday, October 6. He told officers that he entered the property to use the biffy.

Merriam Park

Burglary—A home break-in was reported on the 1700 block of Selby Avenue around 3:17 p.m. Sunday, October 9.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Cleveland and Dayton avenues on October 2-4, the 300 block of North Finn Street and the 1800 block of Iglehart Avenue on October 7-8, the 2000 block of Iglehart on October 8, the 1800 block of Ashland Avenue on October 8-9, and the 1900 block of Iglehart on October 9.

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 1800 block of Iglehart on October 5-6, and the 1900 block of Feronia Avenue on October 6.

—A motorcycle was reported stolen on North Mississippi River Boulevard and Summit Avenue on October 10.

Snelling-Hamline

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on the 1300 block of Summit Avenue on October 7, and on Hamline and University avenues on October 8.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1400 block of Laurel Avenue on October 10.

Summit Hill

Burglary—A residential burglary was reported on the 700 block of Summit Avenue during the evening of October 8-9.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 600 block of Grand Avenue on October 7,

—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 500 block of Grand Avenue on October 8-9, and the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue on October 10.

—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of Grand Avenue on October 9.

Miscellaneous—A 25-year-old man was cited twice with trespassing after he was found inside the vestibule of U.S. Bank, 1071 Grand Ave., on two occasions during the evening of October 5-6.

Summit-University

Burglary—Estetica Salon, 165 N. Western Ave., was burglarized during the evening of October 5-6.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from two vehicles on the 200 block of North Lexington Parkway on October 5.

—A motorcycle was reported stolen on the 1000 block of Dayton Avenue during the evening of October 7-8.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 600 block of Saint Anthony Avenue on October 7-8.

Weapons—Officers located 60 shell casings after responding to a report of gunfire near Fisk Street and Selby Avenue around 8:56 p.m. Thursday, October 6.

—A physical fight was followed by gunfire following a funeral on the 600 block of Iglehart Avenue around 1:52 p.m. Friday, October 7. No injuries were reported.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported at the American Lung Association, 490 Concordia Ave., at 12:30 p.m. Monday, October 3.

West End

Burglary—A home break-in was reported on the 700 block of Tuscarora Avenue around 7:51 a.m. Sunday, October 9.

—A 25-year-old man was arrested for burglary at the Marathon Gas Station, 675 W. Seventh St., around 2:52 a.m. Monday, October 10.

Theft—Catalytic converters were reported stolen from vehicles on Smith Avenue and Walnut Street on October 3, and the 300 block of Randolph Avenue on October 4.

—A running vehicle was reported stolen at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, 1930 W. Seventh St., around 8:25 p.m. Thursday, October 6. The vehicle was located in Maplewood and a 34-year-old man was arrested for theft and fleeing police.

—Construction materials valued at more than $1,000 were reported missing on Montreal Avenue and Elway Street around 7:50 a.m. Monday, October 10.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 800 block of West Seventh Street on October 10.

Assault—An assault with a knife and the violation of a restraining order was reported on the 800 block of Otto Avenue around 8:31 p.m. Saturday, October 8.

—Shots was reported near the White Squirrel Bar, 974 W. Seventh St., around 1:22 a.m. Friday, October 12. Shortly afterward a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest arrived at United Hospital.

Miscellaneous—A 57-year-old man was arrested for DWI around 7:38 p.m. Saturday, October 8, on West Seventh and Chestnut streets after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle by an off-duty officer working the Minnesota Wild game.
