Mendota Heights will offer free activities for all ages during Frozen Fun Fest 2023 from February 3-12. Here is a schedule of the events:
Coloring contest. Color a winter masterpiece for a chance to win prizes. Coloring sheets will be available starting at 8 a.m. Friday, February 3, both online and at City Hall, 1101 Victoria Curve. Completed sheets should be deposited in the City Hall water utilities drop box by 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 10.
Medallion hunt. Search for a medallion hidden in a Mendota Heights park to win the grand prize. Contest rules and the first clue will be posted at 8 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, on the city’s website and Facebook page. Clues will continue to be posted at 8 a.m. daily.
Cupid’s Valentine Crawl. Kick off Valentine’s week with a Cupid’s Crawl from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, at Market Square Park, 720 Main St. Participants are invited to visit local businesses for the chance to win a prize, and then enjoy music and crafts.
Puzzle competition. Teams of up to four people can compete to solve a 500-piece puzzle and win prizes from 9 a.m.–noon Saturday, February 11, at the city’s fire station on Dodd Road. (Registration required.)
Ice festival. Hit the ice to the music of a live DJ, grab dinner from a food truck, watch live ice sculpting and warm up by a fire from 4–6 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Friendly Hills Park on Pueblo and Decorah lanes.
Youth ice fishing. Those age 14 and younger can learn to fish from 9–11 a.m. Sunday, February 12, at Rogers Lake Park on Wagon Wheel Trail. Equipment and guidance will be provided. (Registration required.)
Snow FootGolf. Bring the whole family, lace up your boots and play five holes of FootGolf in the snow from 12-2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 12, at the Mendota Heights Par 3 Golf Course on Dodd Road. (Tee times required.)
