The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between February 11-13.

Highland Park

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2300 block of West Seventh Street on February 7.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1300 block of Saint Paul Avenue on February 10.

—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1000 block of South Howell Street during the evening of February 11-12.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen from the lot at Caliber Collision, 1190 University Ave., on February 10.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported at the Midway Target around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, February 8.

Macalester-Groveland

Burglary—A burglary was reported at the Groveland Tap, 1834 Saint Clair Ave., around 6 a.m. Thursday, February 9.

—A suspect broke through a door and stole items at Estelle, 1806 Saint Clair Ave., around 12:06 a.m. Friday, February 10.

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at Macalester College on February 2.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1700 block of Saint Clair Avenue on February 10-11.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on the 1200 block of Grand Avenue around 10:35 p.m. Monday, February 6.

Merriam Park

Theft—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1800 block of Roblyn Avenue on the evening of February 7-8.

—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1900 block of Marshall Avenue on February 11-12.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Dayton Avenue on February 13.

Miscellaneous—An intoxicated 33-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding DWI warrant after he was found banging on doors and urinating in the hallway of the Days Inn, 1964 University Ave., around 4:26 p.m. Friday, February 10.

Snelling-Hamline

Robbery—A strong-arm robbery was reported on University and Snelling avenues around 10:49 p.m. Friday, February 10. Three suspects fled the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital.

—A 41-year-old man was arrested for trying to rob the Midway Cub Foods with a stun gun around 11 p.m. Sunday, February 12. He was also cited with drug possession and giving false information to police.

Summit Hill

Burglary—A burglary was reported at Pure Barre, 1045 Grand Ave., around 1:25 a.m. Monday, February 13.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1100 block of Grand Avenue on February 9.

Summit-University

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 800 block of Holly Avenue and the 200 block of North Avon Street on February 9.

Miscellaneous—Police received a report of someone breaking windows at an apartment on the 400 block of Marshall Avenue around 7:09 a.m. Friday, February 10.

—A 45-year-old woman was cited with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of someone with a weapon on the 100 block of North Oxford Street around 6:40 a.m. Saturday, February 11.

West End

Shooting—A man with a knife was fatally shot by a Saint Paul police officer around 5 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at the Winslow Commons apartments, 160 S. Western Ave. Multiple callers reported a male suspect was threatening people with a knife in the building’s community room. Police located the suspect in a first-floor hallway and attempted to get him to drop the knife. When he advanced toward them one officer deployed a taser and another fired his gun, striking the man. Medics provided aid, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.

Robbery—A strong-arm robbery was reported on West Seventh and Ramsey streets around 9 a.m. Friday, February 3.

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 900 block of West Seventh Street on February 6.

—Items valued at more than $1,000 were reported stolen from a vehicle at the Holiday Inn, 175 W. Seventh St., between 3:05 -4:05 a.m. Thursday, February 9.

Assault—An employee was reportedly assaulted at the Hampton Hotel, 200 W. Seventh St., around 10:49 a.m. Thursday, February 9.

—A man reported being stabbed by his children’s mother in an apartment on the 200 block of Wilkin Street around 8:32 p.m. Friday, February 10.

—A woman said her ex-partner came to her residence despite having a no-contact order, tried to strangle her and stole her phone on the 1300 block of West Seventh Street around 10:21 p.m. Saturday, February 11.

Weapons—Gunfire was reported near the High Bridge dog park on Randolph Avenue around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, February 12.

Miscellaneous—Felony damage to property was reported on James and Randolph avenues on February 8, and the 200 block of West Kellogg Boulevard on February 9.
