The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between March 4-6.

Highland Park

Burglary—An apartment break-in was reported at Crosby Pointe, 1115 Elway St., around 2:56 p.m. Friday, March 3.

Theft—A pickup truck was reported stolen on the 1600 block of Bayard Avenue during the evening of March 4-5.

Lexington-Hamline

Theft—A 20-year-old man was arrested for theft after he was seen not scanning more than $600 in items at the self-checkout at the Midway Target around 5:13 p.m. Saturday, March 4.

Mendota Heights

Burglary—Police responded to a burglary in progress and arrested a suspect coming out of a house on the 1100 block of Dodd Road around 11:36 a.m. Sunday, February 26.

Theft—A resident reported falling for a phone scam around 7:24 p.m. Friday, February 24, on the 2500 block of Claremont Drive. She said she received a voicemail from someone who was claiming to work for Xfinity and offering a discount on her bill. She gave them $657 in Target gift cards, but apparently later became suspicious and called police.

—A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of an apartment building on the 2100 block of Highway 13 at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday, March 1.

—A resident on the 2100 block of Theresa Street reported being swindled out of $9,500 around 10:16 a.m. Thursday, March 2. After receiving an alert from someone thought to be from Microsoft, the resident reportedly granted access to a computer and had funds stolen from a bank account.

Merriam Park

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 100 block of Otis Avenue during the evening of March 2-3.

—A theft from auto and felony damage to property were reported on the 1900 block of Marshall Avenue around 1:14 a.m. Sunday, March 5.

Miscellaneous—Police were called in for assistant during a fire around 12:29 a.m. Sunday, March 5, on the 1900 block of University Avenue. An individual reportedly was denying firefighters from entering her apartment, which was filled with smoke due to food burning in the oven.

Snelling-Hamline

Weapons—Shell casings were discovered when police responded to gunfire on the 1400 block of Iglehart Avenue around 1:37 a.m. Saturday, March 4.

Summit Hill

Theft—A 42-year-old woman was arrested for check fraud at Coulee Bank, 733 Grand Ave., around 5 p.m. Friday, March 3.

Summit-University

Theft—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Holly Avenue and Saint Albans Street on March 2.

West End

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 200 block of West Seventh Street on March 3-4.

Assault—An assault was reported at an apartment building at 313 Sherman St. at 3:53 p.m. Friday, March 3.

—A man said he was punched in the face by an unknown suspect on Western Avenue and Superior Street around 3:05 p.m. Sunday, March 5.

—A stabbing was reported near I-35E and Kellogg Boulevard around 7:53 p.m. Sunday, March 5. The male victim was taken to the emergency room.

—A man said he was assaulted by an unknown suspect on West Seventh Street and Grand Avenue around 11:57 a.m. Sunday, March 5. The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall white male, 20-30 years old, wearing a dark blue hoodie, brown pants and brown winter boots.
