The following criminal incidents were compiled from Saint Paul and Mendota Heights police department reports and other sources gathered between May 18-19.

Highland Park

Burglary—A break-in was reported at Dairy Queen, 1959 Ford Pkwy., between 5-6 a.m. Thursday, May 18.

Lexington-Hamline

Assault—A woman said a male suspect hit her and dragged her on the ground after trying to steal $20 from her on Lexington Parkway and Saint Anthony Avenue around 4:07 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.

—A 38-year-old man was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon at Skyline Tower, 1247 Saint Anthony Ave., around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.

Macalester-Groveland

Theft—A vehicle was reported stolen on the 1200 block of Osceola Avenue between 10-11 a.m. Thursday, May 18. It was recovered in Minneapolis.

Mendota Heights

Theft—Electronics were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of Cheri Lane around 11:21 a.m. Sunday, May 14.

—An employee was suspected of stealing cash from a business on the 900 block of Highway 13 at 1:24 p.m. Monday, May 15.

—A purse was reported stolen from a hotel room on the 1300 block of Northland Drive around 9:19 a.m. Wednesday, May 17.

—Items were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 1600 block of Lilydale Road at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.

—A resident on the 900 block of Chippewa Avenue reported a theft by swindle at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 18. The victim lost $800 after apparently clicking on a web conversation and providing a thief with bank account information.

Assault—A man was arrested for assaulting his father on the 700 block of Pondhaven Lane around 10 p.m. Saturday, May 13.

Miscellaneous—Police reported two incidents where they stopped vehicles for registration and equipment violations, and then arrested the male driver for violating a no contact order involving a passenger. One was at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, May 13, on the 1200 block of Highway 13, and the other at 11:39 p.m. Sunday, May 14, on Highway 62 and Lexington Avenue.

Merriam Park

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on the 500 block of North Prior Avenue around 5:56 a.m. on May 17, and on the 1600 block of Hague Avenue during the evening of May 17-18.

—Police responded to a hit-and-run accident where the driver fled on foot at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, on Cretin and Marshall avenues. The vehicle had been stolen in Minneapolis and the suspect threw two backpacks in the garbage. Inside, police found two firearms, including one stolen in Minneapolis.

Snelling-Hamline

Theft—Vehicles were reported stolen on Marshall Avenue and Pascal Street around 10:11 p.m. on May 17, and on the 1300 block of University Avenue around 1:26 p.m. on May 17.

Summit-University

Theft—Items valued at more than $500 were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 400 block of Ashland Avenue on May 15-17.

—The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of North Oxford Street between 6:30-10:57 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.

Arson—Arson was suspected at the Oromo American Twhid Islamic Center, 430 N. Dale St., around 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 17.

Miscellaneous—Criminal damage to property was reported at W. A. Frost, 374 Selby Ave., around 3:57 a.m. Thursday, May 18.

West End

Weapons—Gunfire was reported on West Seventh Street and Otto Avenue around 1:34 a.m. Wednesday, May 17.
